Serial numbers (device linking)

A serial number is a unique hardware identifier assigned by the device manufacturer.

In Mycroft, serial numbers can be used to help associate a detected computer with the correct person and keep your device inventory accurate.

The serial number can be used during the Add computer process to automatically link a newly detected computer to an account.
